Woest will further develop her artistic practice by focusing on working with children and young adults. Woest sees this as the start of a new praxis, where a structured project is presented aiming to create a performance at unusual venues.

Woestelingen are the children/young adults that dare to throw themselves in a story. They are the performers and co-creators of a series of location events in and around the city. A performance is created at a selected location, which forms the starting point. Of great importance is the structure, the history, the functionality – even the anecdotes of the local residents.

Two generations collaborate in this public space for that one goal: creating a performance that is both dance and theatre, using the location as a character. Woest intends to apply this manner of working in multiple cities, on multiple locations and each time with multiple and diverse groups of local youth.
